Pre Construction Termite Protection
for Building & Renovating
Did you know that one in two homes built on a concrete slab are likely to experience termite infestation within the first five years of construction. The Building Code of Australia stipulates that all new buildings require some form of protection from termite entry.
Southcape Pest Management's Termite Protection is an under slab, perimeter and penetration treatment using a number of products which prevent concealed entry by subterranean termites into a building.
In the early stages of building, before pouring concrete and laying flooring on stumps, a termite barrier MUST be installed in accordance with AS 3660.2, by a qualified technician, using approved termite barrier systems, such as Termidor, Biflex and the Altis Reticulation Systems. Please give us a call to discuss the most appropriate termite system for you.
Once the building is complete a termiticide barrier MUST also be installed around the perimeter prior to any paving or aggregate being laid against the building. A full "Certificate of Treatment" is then supplied which complies with the statutory regulations.
* STOP! The required termite treatment must be applied prior to any concreting or paving.
